CACR-SR02AY1SR

CACR-SR02AY1SR is a compact AC servo drive from Yaskawa VS-800 (CACR-SR) series with rated power of 0.2 kW (200 W). It adopts single-phase 200 VAC power supply and analog speed control. This drive is designed to match Yaskawa R-series servo motors with S-type encoder interface and rack mounting structure. The model has been discontinued by the original manufacturer, and only used, refurbished or surplus stock is available on the market.

Description

Model Number Explanation

CACR stands for AC Servo Drive. SR represents speed control type SERVOPACK of VS-800 series. The digit 02 means the rated power is 200 W. Letter A indicates compatibility with Yaskawa R-series servo motors. Letter Y refers to analog speed command with ±10 VDC signal. Digit 1 denotes single-phase 200 VAC input specification. Letter S means S-type interface for 1500 ppr incremental encoder. The final letter R stands for rack mounting type.

Main Technical Specifications

The rated input is single-phase 200 to 230 VAC with frequency of 50 Hz to 60 Hz. The three-phase output ranges from 0 V to 230 VAC and the rated output current is 1.5 A. The main control mode is analog speed control via ±10 VDC command signal. The matched encoder is 1500 ppr incremental type with dedicated S-type interface.
This unit shall be installed vertically in rack style. The operating ambient temperature ranges from 0°C to 45°C, and the storage temperature is from -20°C to 60°C. The relative humidity shall not exceed 90 percent and condensation is prohibited. Built-in protection functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, encoder fault and overload protection.

Differences from Similar Model CACR-SR02AD1FR

This model only supports pure analog speed control, while CACR-SR02AD1FR supports both analog speed and position control. Their encoder interfaces are different as S-type and F-type with distinct pin definitions, so they cannot be interchanged directly. The internal firmware is also customized for different control demands. They share the same overall dimension and mounting size, so replacement is feasible after checking encoder and control signals.

Typical Applications

It is widely used for small automated equipment such as precision speed regulation platforms, miniature conveyor systems and winding & tension control units. It is also a common replacement part for old VS-800 series servo systems, and can work with external pulse controllers to realize simple positioning for light-load scenarios.

Product Availability

Original production has been stopped. Current supplies are mainly tested second-hand and refurbished units, which normally come with a warranty period of 6 to 12 months. It is an economical choice for equipment maintenance and replacement.
