ABB CP430BP is a 5.7 inch monochrome STN human-machine interface of the CP400 series. It is equipped with resistive touch screen and physical function keys, and adopts CCFL backlight. It features compact structure and stable performance, suitable for routine monitoring and operation of industrial equipment in general working conditions. It can communicate with ABB controllers and most third-party automation devices.

CP stands for control panel. 430 represents the 5.7 inch model in CP400 series. B means monochrome STN display. P indicates the standard version without Ethernet interface.

This device uses a 5.7 inch STN monochrome display with 16 blue levels and a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. It is fitted with resistive touch screen and CCFL backlight, and the service life of backlight reaches 50000 hours. It is equipped with one menu key and five customizable function keys. It adopts 32-bit RISC processor, with 4 MB flash memory, 512 KB RAM and 512 KB battery backed RAM. The power supply is 24 V DC with a tolerance of plus or minus 10 percent, and the typical operating current is less than 0.5 A. The operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 50 °C, storage temperature ranges from minus 10 °C to 60 °C, and relative humidity is between 20 percent and 90 percent without condensation. The protection class of front panel is IP65 and the rear part is IP20. The overall weight is about 0.86 kg. A built-in lithium battery ensures normal operation of real-time clock after power failure.

It is provided with two serial communication ports. The first port supports RS232 and RS485 signals and is compatible with Modbus RTU protocol. The second port supports RS232, RS422 and RS485 signals. A standard USB port is used for program upload, download and data storage. This model has no Ethernet port. The supporting configuration software is CP400 Soft.
