2. Product Function Description

This fiber optic modem daughterboard is inserted into the NIM network interface mainboard, replacing traditional copper coaxial UCN signal transceivers to realize optical-electrical signal conversion for UCN control bus long-distance transmission.
  1. Optical / Electrical Bidirectional Conversion

    Convert internal NIM electrical differential signals to optical signals for long-distance fiber transmission; convert remote optical bus signals back to electrical signals for NIM to exchange data with LCN network.

  2. Complete Electrical Isolation

    Fiber medium eliminates ground potential difference, ground loop interference and lightning surge damage between different control buildings, greatly improving anti-interference performance for cross-plant UCN networking.

  3. Dual Redundant A/B Fiber Channels

    Dual optical ports support hot backup UCN bus architecture; automatic switchover between optical paths upon single fiber break without interrupting system control communication.

  4. Harsh Environment Adaptation (-200 coating feature)

    Full-board acrylic conformal coating resists moisture, corrosive gas, dust and salt fog, suitable for chemical, offshore, coastal power plant harsh cabinet environments.
