Description

2. Product Function Description

This is the core main processor board of Honeywell APM controller, the central computing unit for closed-loop process control and logic operation.
  1. Regulatory Control Execution

    Supports PID, cascade, ratio, feedforward, dead time compensation and other complex continuous regulation algorithms, responsible for real-time closed-loop control of temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level and other process loops.

  2. Sequence & Logic Control

    Executes interlock logic, batch sequence control, equipment start-stop sequential programs, supports timer, counter, comparison and boolean logic operations.

  3. IOP Data Interaction

    Communicates bidirectionally with all IOP signal cards (AI/AO/DI/DO/STI/Pulse/Serial) on the APM local backplane, collects field measurement signals and outputs control commands to actuators.

  4. UCN Network Data Exchange

    Cooperates with APM Modem card to transmit real-time process data, setpoints, alarm information to upper LCN operation stations via UCN bus, and receives operator setpoint modifications, mode switching instructions.

  5. Comprehensive Hardware Self-Diagnosis

    Real-time monitoring of CPU operation, memory status, backplane bus communication, IOP link faults; automatically uploads hardware failures, loop abnormal alarms to the system alarm management platform.

  6. Redundancy Compatibility

    Supports dual redundant APM master control configuration (two sets of 51304518-100 hot backup), seamless switchover without process disturbance when the primary card fails.
